Still: Part II

18" x 36" oils

I worked on this painting today and added the waves. I like the frothy action. However, I miss the simplicity of what I had before. Still deciding which way to go. Stared at this painting for a half hour trying to decide. Left it for now - I'll revisit the issue tomorrow. If the waves stay, the title must change.

I miss the simplicity too but do like the movement of waves...maybe they are just a bit too powerful. Maybe smaller waves...or fewer. LOVE it still. Making me miss the beach. I want to hear the surf right now.

Don't touch it any more

I love the waves! But it is true that it doesn't fit with the title. I do really love the waves, though!

The waves look AMAZING!!

The way it looks now fits that "at an impasse" title. While the up close seems a little tumultuous, the space beyond looks peaceful. Great symbolism. :)

I like the waves, but it looks like you darkened the water in the background, and the blend of colors in the water got a little diluted, almost too much contrast for me. But what do I know, I play with dirt:) I love the wave action though. I've never seen anyone paint waves like you, and I'm not saying that because I'm your bro:)

That's because YOU are trying to kidnap what _I_'ve rightfully stolen!

I like the frothy action, too. Heck, I've liked BOTH the pictures you've taken of this work.

I am considerably less than helpful. :P
