I've had a painting like this on the back-burner of my mind for some time. I haven't painted in almost a month. If you're a painter, angst is part of the territory. Being a painter (for me at least) is very much a love-hate relationship. That being said, I never want to stop pushing myself to reinvent and reach. Reach. Reach. Reach. Picasso said painting is another way of keeping a diary. Today's entry should read: "Life can sometimes really suck, but I am stronger than my !#@ trials!!!!"

I like it.
And I'm eager to see what else you've got in mind. As always. ^_^
Cristall - I feel your angst. We must live in a parallel universe. I am going through so much of what this writing says about you. I can see that this one is going to be one of those glorious, dream-invented, heartspoken ones. Carry on!
After not painting for a month it must have felt so good to get back at it. This is a very exciting start to your painting... very moody and full of dark atmosphere. Looking for ward to seeing how it plays out... please be sure to post the final piece for us! Make that angst work for you!
Take care,
Nicki
Wow Cristall. This post made me smile. And I hope your painting helps with the !@#%& trials:) We all need help with those... This painting is so dramatic and emotional. I love it already!
Thank you everybody. I am glad you feel the piece too. Excellent!
Pure unbarred creativity...no, better said...EXPRESSION! I love this type of art. Art from raw emotion. Your angst is beautiful. I hope you are able to get it all out on canvas and that it's a better day tomorrow. :) I'm excited to see the new series.
I love, love, LOVE this painting. Can't wait to see it finished. And, you're absolutely right about painting being your journal. One of the most inspiriting things about artists is their ability to take things like sorrow, loneliness, anger, regret, fear, and pain and turn them into something as beautiful as this. One of the reasons I LOVE having you in my life. Rock on, sister friend.
